Star Slammer: Prison Ship

Need to kill an hour and a half?  May I suggest this Fred Olen Ray masterpiece?  Here's the blurb from Netflix: "When she rejects the advances of a corrupt government official, Taura (Sandy Brooke) is unjustly incarcerated aboard a prison ship known as the Star Slammer, where she's subjected to hard labor, maniacal guards and bloodthirsty inmates in this campy sci-fi flick. Before long, Taura earns the trust of her fellow cellmates and organizes an elaborate plan for escape."

The funny thing is, the sets, special effects and costumes (hey, scantily clad female prisoners) aren't bad.  Sure, the dialogue is cheesy ("Let's make like a whore and blow this joint."), but there's something appealing about this movie and now makes me want to make a movie myself.  In addition, you have a cameo by John Carradine who is clearly reading off cue cards for his brief spotlight.

Check it out and let me know what you think.  I can't find a trailer, so here's a scene.
