Human Target

Still haven't caught up on all the episodes yet, but just watched "Sanctuary", the episode where Chance has to protect a rare items dealer in a monastery.  I really like this show.  It's a lot of fun and something you don't take seriously.  Despite this, the interplay between the main characters - Chance, Winston, and Guerrero - is dead on perfect and engaging.  This is the first episode that starts to peel back the layers of the mythos of Chance and yet, if you missed it, unlike, say Battlestar Galactica, it's not like you're missing a lot.  There's also the question of where Guerrero's loyalties lie.

Overall, this is a fun show, not really having much to do with the comic book and managing to stand on its own.  Check it out in the colonies on the Fox Network.

Can I Say...

...how much I really love this show?  I'm so glad it got moved from Fridays before it even had a chance to air there and is back in its Wednesday night slot.  Despite the addition of Mrs. Pucci as their boss (which I thought was going to be the kiss of death), it's still the same, fun show I grew to love quickly last season.  I hope it manages to stick around for awhile because when Sue and I both really like something, it's usually the kiss of death.

Why Bother?

Why bother calling it The Human Target then?  It just makes no sense that if you're going to rip off the source material and try to call it original, then at least have the decency to life it properly.

Brand Familiarity?

I mean, I came to the show, knowing the concept of the comic and having seen the Rock Springfield version.  I knew certain liberties were taken.  In the end, it's a good show and one that I now find myself looking forward to seeing.  It doesn't ask much of me and I don't ask much of it.  It's a great relationship.
