two notes on this episode....
First of all, kudos to John for producing this episode while sick as the proverbial dog. He sounded like death warmed over on Skype, but he soldiered on. Bravo, all-around God-like being!
Secondly, a huge thank-you to Juliet not only for doing the interview, but also for making my day -- turns out she's read my Buffy novel Blackout, in which Drusilla played a role, and she was pleased with how I wrote her character. I was, to say the least, chuffed.

Nice interview
Keith, nice job. Ms Landau is a really neat person.
I was wondering, concerning her involvement in the Buffyverse, and that she's read at least some of the tie-in books... Keith (and the rest of the Rifters), do you find that actors are more likely today to be fans of their series? Seems to me, back in the day, most actors and actresses tended to be slightly bemused at the attention they would get over their work. I can't imagine Barbara Bain writing for Space 1999 comic books or reading "Phoenix of Megaron". Has there been a change in attitude by actors? Or is it there involvment in tie-in works just more visible?
Thanks for a great show,
Bill
PS. It dawns on me that Ms Landau could be described as a child not just of Space 1999 but also of "The Harlem Globetrotters on Gilligan's Island".
I'll get my coat...
My Theory
I think that actors are more fans of the genre today. You have more geeks who watched Barbara Bain and Diana Rigg and William Shatner and became actors. They probably have their own fan fic they wrote as kids, but would never show. Look at the current production staff on Doctor Who. You have both Stephen Moffat and Gary Russell, both long time fans of the series who now are guiding it. You see that "bemused" attitude you mentioned on people like Phillip Hinchcliffe (who produced the best series of Who ever in the early Baker years) who saw this as another job.

"What? Too much?"
Thanks
It's funny. I forgot to remove my "ill" note on Skype before last night's interview with the duo from Wadjet Eye and one of them was a little concerned that I wasn't up for it. I pointed out that I was feeling 1000x better than that night. Also, having the next day off from work helped in the episode edited. Hope you all liked it.
