Nice Job!
First off, this discussion was a lot of fun and very informative. Especially for those of us in the audience who've never actually read a James Bond book (I know, I know, stop yelling at me!) But one minor quibble/clarification: You introduced Mr. Deja as the HOST of the Better in the Dark podcast ... but isn't he technically the cohost, along with someone else who is near and dear to The Chronic Rift???
Good lookin' out there,
Good lookin' out there, Andrea
Yes, I did slip there and
Yes, I did slip there and should have mentioned that Better in the Dark is co-hosted by the Rift's Derrick Ferguson.
Bad host.

The Books
Well, you know where I come down on this. I prefer the books and found that part of the conversation interesting. I will give the current producers of the movie series credit for not mining the current books for ideas though.
The End Was Near
One of the things I wish we touched more upon in the episode was who had been looked at as a possible Bond in times past. Adam West was one such person and he took his name out of the running in order to do Batman when Connery was departing the Bond series.
A recent Google search on Bond turned up this message board entry asking about an Entertainment Tonight story linking Matthew Perry of Friends fame to the series. - http://boards.ign.com/bond_james_bond/b5063/1841976/p1/?6
