The Chronic Rift Network: Finding the Culture in Pop Culture!

Out of curiosity, does anyone play role playing games with their kids?  My boys are into Dungeons & Dragons and in addition to my monthly online game I moderate, I have one with them.  How do they handle the more violent aspects?  Do you find yourself taming certain portions or simplfying the explanations?

My boys are 11 and 6 and they play with a party made up of the two of them and four NPCs.  They just got wiped out though by a party of bugbears in the Temple of Elemental Evil.  I thought for sure they would flip out, but they handled it very well and asked to create new characters who are relatives of their old ones who are out to even the score.
