The Chronic Rift Network: Finding the Culture in Pop Culture!

As a sign of respect for the victims of the Aurora, Colorado shooting, the studios are withholding their box office numbers this week. Like any other midnight premiere, the event was a celebration of the passion fans have for epic storytelling and fantastic worlds. It is the very same passion that fuels the imagination and makes us think about the human condition in terms of parable and metaphor.

In the various spheres that make up geek fandom, we sometimes have arguments and rivalries, but in the end we are united as one family by the desire to believe that the world can be a better place.
