You've completely lost me
You've completely lost me with this series
Is somebody else setting up these clips for John and his little kid to be quizzed on?
Or Is John setting them up himself?
Sorry
it's not appealing to you. This is primarily a kids show. Eddie (his little kid) and I set up the clips and questions and it's up to the listeners to answer them at home or in the car. We're not quizzing each other, although that's not a bad idea for a future episode.

Pardon the presumed indignacy
Pardon the presumed indignacy as the comment was meant not in malice. I love the idea of a kids AND adults quiz show, but I think it would work MUCH better if the kids were tested on the "parents" material, and the parents on the "kids" material.
Sure, the kids would not have the nostalgiac grasp of some questions, but the point is to credit the skill of researching.
On the other side, having the "parents" be quizzed on the "kids" material would demonstrate to the kids both awareness and comprehension of matters beyond their "school years from long ago"
It's All Right
I didn't take it as malice. I just don't think my ten year would have the interest in such a show. As it is, we do encourage the kids to try to answer the parents questions. In fact, in the first episode in this format, I suggested extra points to the kids who could answer them.
