Very nice

First off... nothing I can possibly say can beat Jay's comments.  (Congrats on the Parsec, Jay.  You deserve it!)

John, you and Keith did a great job considering it was just the two of you.

I'm currently reading "The Absolutely True Story of a Part-Time Indian" along with my daughter who's a freshman.  It's very good, if not a little, well, sad.  But very compelling.

I've tried to read many books my middle and high schoolers have been assigned, and really, a lot of the best books I've read in the last 10 years have come from that reading.  Holes.  The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle.  The Giver.  The Secret Life of Bees.  Walk Two Moons.  Tangerine.  The Watsons Go To Birmingham.  The Pigman and Me.  I'd recommend any and all of these to readers of any age.

I hear that in the new version of Star Wars, Greedo shoots himself.  ;)

I'm glad you mentioned Andrea's podcast.  I'm subscribed to it; her booktalks are always great, and her tips on keeping the attention of a room full of youngin's is interesting and useful to me.  She does a great job.

Yes, I listen to HG World

Yes, I listen to HG World (repeatedly, usually in small samples over the course of 2-3 months). No, I won't put any more coin into the pocket of George Lucas. I like any YA books that my kids will read quietly. I picked up this cool Indian fairy tale book called The Kama Sutra and they LOVE it.  Highly recommended, especially for your 13-15 year olds.

Seriously, thank you for the kind words.  HG World wouldn't be possible without John, The Rift and all their support.

George Lucas is the Joan Rivers of filmmakers.  He's put so much work into his vanity that it's now an aged plastic mess.

Ghostbusters 3 will never happen.  This story pops up every time Dan Aykroyd pops up on radio selling wine or vodka.  I love the franchise, but...it won't happen unless on video.  Of course, it lives on in comic book form and Sony rejected my television series idea, so...frak em.

As far as Ernie Hudson being the ONLY Ghostbusters being a career...

Note that Murray is doing a lot of critically successful arty films.  He can pick his roles.  Ghostbusters is not one he will pick.  Dude is a god.  Accept no substitutes.

Have you noticed that the guest stars on Torchwood look like RTD went around some ComicCon autograph row asking whoever was there if they had time to cameo in his new show?  That includes Ernie.  I'm sure he and Lou Ferrigno share a lot of airplane rides.

I love Ernie.  Any new iteration of the franchise should feature Ernie as the leader of the active team.  In my audio drama script, he's head of GB's home base in NYC.

Fun Fact: Dave Coulier's performance wasn't Bill Murray, it was Bill Murray doing the voice of Carl Spackler.

Another Fun Fact: Ernie auditioned for the role of Winston on The Real Ghostbusters.  He lost to Arsenio Hall.

LOL!

Joan Rivers of filmmakers.  Priceless.
